A Picture a Day
In the essence of this being a digital scrapbook, I wanted to share my favorite picture from each day! While the featured picture might not be a glamorous"magazine worthy" photo, it captures the essence of the day, and a little slice of life which an amazing trip should be!

01
A picture of an art gallery window with some iconic Sicily neon lights.
02
Admiring the architectural beauty and mosaics in the cloisters at the Monreale Cathedral.

03
In the middle is the Queen of Canolis herself, Maria Grammatico. Being able to learn how she make cannolis as well as other sweet treats was a once in a lifetime experience and another reason why we travel with Rick Steves'.
04
One salty picture, Jeff and I overlooking the saltpans!

05
A picture from the garden of the countryside hotel that we stayed at. This evening was truly magical from the beautiful scenery and the violinist serenading us during our group dinner.
06
I dream about this lemon cream pasta that the Baronessa made for us! This dish we have tried to recreate many of times. Not being in the beautiful Sicily sunshine is always the missing ingredient.

07
Walking through the markets in Sicily I was in awe over the fresh seafood and produce they have. If I lived in Sicily, I would be here every day.
08
One of the biggest WOW moments of the trip! Being able to visit Mount Etna with my family was indescribable.

09
Big smiles here with our tour guide Nancy as we visited Taromina's ancient Greek theater!
10
Colorful Catania living up to it's name! A picture of us as we walked through the market in the morning!

11
While there aren't many pictures of us traveling from beautiful Sicily back to Michigan, here we are smiling at the airport (and happy to be off the plane).
And just for
A little montage of me enjoying my favorite cocktail, an Aperol Spritz, in beautiful Sicily! Life is good - chin chin!
