Map of the Tour

This map of Sicily that highlights the different stops on the tour. The numbers in the circle reflect how many nights you will stay in that location.

Why did we select this tour?

Our family selected the Best of Sicily in 11 Days tour for the following reasons:

  1. See Italy in a whole new light - some of my family members have visited Italy before and together we wanted to experience a side of Italy that none of us have before

  2. A cultural melting pot - this tour allowed for us to experience Italian culture, while also experiencing other cultural influences from the ancient Greek ruins, to the lively Ballaró street market with many cuisines, and cathedrals that have an infusion of Arab, Jewish, and Gothic traditions

  3. One of our former Rick Steves' Tour guides said that Sicily has some of the best food she's ever had. Can you blame us for that being a persuading factor?

Meet my Travel Mates

To celebrate a milestone birthday of my Mom's, my family and I celebrated by going on this tour. On this trip, I went with my husband Jeff, my parents- Mike and Diane, my older sister- Katie, my younger brother- Jonathan, and his now wife- Julia. Extra special moment: my family and I met a couple,  from Oklahoma, Terry and Jann, on our first Rick Steves' Tour in Eastern Europe and have since stayed in contact and all planned to do the Best of Sicily tour together.

remind me where Sicily is?

Wait...

No silly questions here!

Sicily is the largest Mediterranean island, located off the "toe" of Italy's "boot". It is also Italy's largest region.
